What Is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is designed to optimize the body’s movement, strength, and alignment. At Progressive Rehab Solutions, our physical therapists can use their advanced knowledge of the bones, ligaments, and muscles to improve motor function, relieve pain, and enhance the client’s overall quality of life. Whether the client has an injury, suffers from an illness, or has developed physical limitations due to a sedentary lifestyle, we can design a customized treatment plan that is tailored to meet the individual’s needs.
What Can Physical Therapy Do for Me?
Our clients come to us for a wide variety of reasons. There is no “standard” physical therapy client, and our experienced healthcare professionals blend many different techniques to help clients realize their goals. Some common reasons people seek out physical therapy include:
- Sports-related injury
- Recovery after a slip or fall
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Arthritis management
- Pain relief
- Expand range of motion
- Recovery after stroke
- Learn how to use a cane or walker
During a preliminary consultation, one of our physical therapists will review the client’s medical history, thoroughly discuss personal concerns and goals, and develop a plan that adapts proven techniques to the client’s individual circumstances. Services may be provided within a Skilled Nursing Facility or as an outpatient service.
How to Choose the Best Physical Therapist
Progressive Rehab Solutions believes trust and communication are essential to success of any physical therapy treatment plan. Our physical therapists are trained to prioritize safety and build rapport with each client. Open dialogue with our clients allows us to incorporate your feedback, personalize exercises, and achieve your physical goals more quickly. A good physical therapist should make you feel comfortable, listen carefully to your concerns, and be willing to address any needs that arise during the course of treatment.
How Much Does Physical Therapy Cost?
Most clients are referred to a physical therapist by a doctor. In many cases, the client’s health insurance plan will cover the cost of physical therapy. Clients may be responsible for a co-pay or be required to meet a deductible before the health insurance provider will cover the cost of physical therapy. Clients who would like assistance navigating the benefits of their health insurance plan can contact a member of our staff.
